Onion bhajiya


Add all the ingredients except the ionions in a bowl. Add water to get a thick batter consistency. Add the onion one by one. Cover the onion completely with the batter. Deep fry the onions till golden brown. Hot onion bhaji is ready to be served with Pattu Pakoda Chutney or Pattu Masala Chilli Sauce. Replace the onions with cauliflower or raw bananas if liked.


  • 3 Onions (sliced in circles)
  • ½ cup Pattu Besan Flour
  • ¼ cup Pattu Rice Flour
  • 1tsp Pattu Chilli Powder Hot
  • Salt to taste
  • Water
  • Oil for deep fry
